Mike Chaney, Class of 1988, submitted several high quality pen and ink illustrations of Bitburg and surrounding landmarks. Unfortunately these scanned versions do not give the original work justice.


The following is a personal message from Mike:

I'm Mike Chaney, Class of 1988. Although I left Bitburg after graduating, I lived there for ten years. Some of you may have taken Math, Chemistry, or Physics classes with my dad, Robert Chaney. I've always enjoyed drawing. From 1985-90, I drew the following pen and ink images of some familiar sights in Bitburg, the Eifel Region, and across Germany. I hope they bring back warm memories for you. If you remember my drawings (I used to sell them at the Bitburg and Spang. bazaars), please jot me a e-mail and let me know what they help you remember about our days at Bitburg. I'd love to hear from you and learn what you're doing now.
